Have you ever journeyed down a rural road in the fall? I liked the perspective challenge of the foreground, the receding road, the foliage getting further away, and the mountains in the distance. It took a lot of planning and many days of layering paint and glaze to get where I wanted with this piece. I like the shadows, the shafts of light and the open sky in the distance. – Donald Ryker
